To the Mission Bay - I'm off in a daydream, standing on waves, feeling awake
If I could settle down, it'd be in this new town, in maybe a house, maybe with you around
Wondering more about what it is that makes us feel at home

I'm not making any progress
In the ever-present context
That would let me wake less self-contained
And I just stay idealistic
Like my dreams of the Pacific
I'll pretend tonight that a four hour flight would change my plight

Standing still, familiar chill. I turn away from this blue to the vibrant hue
Of a sunset's peace. A life without seasons, monotony - would it get to me?
With the calendar change, I'm ready for more days of shaping my ways and not being afraid
But in between, look for me strolling down India Street
